Policies
This page serves as an archive of Jamie Solorio’s former studio policies, reflecting the professional practices she upheld during her commercial photography era. While she no longer books standard portrait or commercial sessions, the policies remain available as a record of her approach to contracts, scheduling, and client care. Today, her focus is on fine art and experimental projects that align with sustainability and ecological storytelling.
Studio Policies
These studio policies help ensure clarity and comfort for everyone I work with.
Each section below explains how I approach communication, scheduling, and data use in a transparent and respectful way.
Weather Policy
If outdoor conditions are unsafe or would significantly affect image quality, your session will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Rescheduling may occur if, on the day before your shoot, the forecast predicts unsafe or unsuitable conditions for the day of your session—including any of the following:
Outdoor temperatures above 101°F
A 20% or higher chance of rain
An air quality index (AQI) of 175 or higher
Natural disaster or other force majeure events
Weather and air quality information are monitored through the National Weather Service (weather.gov) to ensure decisions are made using trusted and accurate data.
I’ll contact you as early as possible with updated options should any of these conditions arise.
If you’re ever uncertain about the weather before a shoot, please feel free to reach out directly.
Illness Policy
If you or anyone in your household is ill, please reschedule your session. Health and safety come first for both of us and my assistant.
Rescheduling is required if you or anyone in your home is experiencing any of the following within 72 hours of the session:
Fever of 100.4°F or higher
Cough, sore throat, or nasal congestion not related to allergies
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
Body aches or fatigue related to illness
Rash or open sores
Any contagious condition (e.g., flu, COVID-19, strep throat, conjunctivitis)
If I become unwell, I’ll notify you promptly to reschedule. Your comfort and safety are always top priority, and there’s no additional fee for illness-related rescheduling.
